Deuteronomy 11:1–25
Looking Back, Looking Forward

In today’s sermon, Pastor reflects on the importance of transitioning into a new fiscal year at Kapahulu Bible Church by emphasizing God's faithfulness. Drawing inspiration from the book of Deuteronomy, particularly Moses' reminder to the Israelites just before entering the Promised Land, Pastor encourages the congregation to look back on the blessings of the past year while also preparing for the future. He highlights the significance of remembering God’s works, obeying His commands, and teaching these principles to others, particularly the younger generation. Pastor elaborates on three foundational practices: first, remembering God's past work and blessing on our behalf; second, demonstrating love for God through obedience and teaching others about His commands; and third, anticipating God's future blessings. By internalizing these practices, Pastor assures the church that they will not only honor God but also put themselves in a position to experience His abundant blessings as they embark on another year together. The sermon serves as a powerful reminder for the congregation to actively engage in their faith journey as a cohesive family, focused on sharing God's story and love with future generations.
